Being vegetarian/Pescatarian can be very affordable!

So on this path one thing I’ve been enjoying so far is I get to food shop way more and yet spend way less than I would normally on grocery. This weekend the hubby and I went food shopping and only spent $9.00. Great deals always on fruits and veggies. These are just what we bought and great deals included ten mini bananas for $0.50, not each! But all….pretty awesome if you asked me. To God be the glory, great things he’s doing in my tummy😊.

2nd day of internal cleanse….still feeling great!

So second day in and still felt energized this morning. Bowel flow coming along as suggested. Today I had an apple for breakfast, a healthy smoothie blast for lunch and for dinner my last meal of tilapia with cole slaw. ( no more meat or seafood after today)
Cleanliness is next to Godliness…

I’m BACK WITH MY TARA’s AVOBANERRY SMOOTHIE!!!

Hey Bloggers,

Happy New Years! Yes I’m late, have been busy with life and mending my relationship with Christ. It takes a lot I’ve been learning to be married to him, and not just dating him. Its however been awesome and I love the flow of blessings that have taken precedents in my life. This morning, a day after the snow storm in New York. I decided while enjoying my “me time”, to make a smoothie I’ve always wanted to try and boy was it delicious.

Very simple ingredients- BANANA, STRAWBERRY AND YES AVOCADO– BLEND WITH ICE AND A BIT OF SUGAR OR HONEY AS NECESSARY.

IT’S DEFINITELY A DON’T KNOCK IT TILL YOU TRY IT SMOOTHIE …believe me.

Enjoy.IMG_4287

Mexican Jamaica (Hibiscus) Drink

My new favorite summer drink……soooooo refreshing.

  • 2 oz dried Jamaica Hibiscus flowers*
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 6 cups drinking water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1-2 cups ice (if you need to serve it immediately)
  • cut apples and blueberries ( or any fruits)

Preparation:

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil and add the spices (nutmeg or cinnamon if desired) and whisk for 1-2 minutes until spices are incorporated. Pour the liquid over the hibiscus flowers. Let the flowers soak in the water for about 20 minutes. Pour the liquid and flowers through a strainer into a large pitcher. Add in the sugar and stir for 1-2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.

Pour in remaining 6 cups of water and taste for sweetness. Add more sugar or water if necessary.

To serve immediately, only add in 5 cups of water and stir in the 1-2 cups of ice and stir until it is ice cold.

Add fruits as desired to make more desirable.

The color and flavor of Jamaica Hibiscus is similar to tart cranberry with a subtle tea flavor in the background. When it is served ice cold, the tea flavor is almost imperceptible. It is also loaded with Vitamin C, so it’s good for you too! This version adds fruits to create a new taste.
